Zeppelin Insect Repeller

A Nevada community has resorted to using Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones to fight a swarm of problematic crickets.
Every year residents of Tuscarora, Nevada are plagued by a marauding swarm of millions of Mormon crickets, but this year the residents fought back using an ingenious method to deterring creatures.
Using ear-splitting levels of music by Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones, played from dawn till dusk for several days (when the crickets are most active), the residents have managed to divert the swarm away from their town.
The Guardian quotes local resident Laura Moore as telling the Wall Street Journal "Crickets kind of sleep at night, so I would wake up first thing in the morning to get the music on and we would shut the music off at night."
